about the persian potter

Clay meetswhimsy.

Helen Rasekhy, known as The Persian Potter, is a ceramic artist based in Portugal. Although she was born in Iran, she has lived around the globe and has chosen to reside in Setúbal where she creates handmade pieces that blend artistry and function, from sculptural works and tableware to her signature ceramic jewelry.

Blending traditional craftsmanship with a touch of ceramic sorcery, Helen’s work has attracted millions of views online and collectors around the world. Every piece is made by hand and infused with creativity, character, and a little bit of magic.

Texture lies at the heart of her creative practice. She designs and produces an ever-growing collection of texture rollers, stamps, and specialty tools inspired by nature, patter, and imagination.

a deeper dive

Helen, unveiled.

Originally from Iran, she approaches life with equal parts creativity, wonder, and playfulness. Drawn to beauty in everyday details, she finds inspiration in nature, storytelling, travel, and the small moments that often go unnoticed.

For Helen, clay is far more than a material — it is a source of endless possibility. She describes it as her “positive proof of magic in our natural world”: earth that gives those who discover its powers the ability to create almost anything they can imagine. What began as a creative pursuit became a lifelong fascination with exploration, transformation, and the joy of making.

That sense of wonder remains at the heart of everything she does. Whether she is creating ceramics, designing texture tools, or sharing her process with others, Helen is guided by a love of creativity, texture, color, and discovery. Every piece is made with genuine awe for the material and the process itself — a small act of celebration for the magic she has found in clay, and an invitation for others to discover it too.

Philosophy

What we believe.

Slow down

The earth has been making art for millions of years. We just have to learn to collaborate with it.

Talent

Talent isn't born, it's shaped through practice and passion.

Magic

A studio is equal parts workshop, laboratory, and spellbook.

Mistakes

There are no mistakes in clay. Only invitations to explore somewhere new.

"Clay taught me that magic isn't impossible—it just takes patience."
